Today in Science Hazel Class continued their learning about changing materials. We explored a range of things including cornflour, playdough, ice and paper and observed whether heat changed them or not. We then discussed whether these changes were reversible or irreversible.

Today we had 2 very special visitors! The author of the book ‘What Shape is a Home’ came into look at and judge our competition entries that the we created in response to the story. We will find out on our visit tomorrow who the lucky winners are…

What a wonderful World Book Day Beech class have had! We walked to Wellingborough School to meet an author and learn to be an Illustrator. We behaved beautifully and had lots of fun. After lunch, we chose which story we wanted to listen to around school. Then we shared all the wonderful stories and props that we had brought from home. It was lovely to see such a wide variety of stories. We have also visited The Avenue Book Shop to choose a new story to keep forever!

This afternoon the children had lots of fun in assembly with Atomic Tom! Our special guest was here to celebrate British Science Week and to give us a taster of what he will be doing at our exciting science club starting next term! This children were amazed by the experiments and had a lot of fun!
