Safer Internet Day

Safer Internet Day 2023

As part of our commitment to safeguarding, it is important that we ensure that parents/carers are as informed as possible about online safety.

#SaferInternetDay

On Tuesday 7th February 2023, it will be Safer Internet Day to bring awareness of being safe and having fun online. The theme of this year is "Want to talk about it? Making space for conversations about life online.”

To start, and support, these conversations please clink of the link to download the wonderful story,

Hanni and the Magic Window.  This has been written for children aged 3 and up, this rhyming story is about speaking out and getting help. Hanni’s home has a very special magic window. But when Hanni sees something that upsets her, she struggles to explain what has happened. Can she find the words to get the help she needs? It has been created to support Safer Internet Day.

As part of our commitment to safeguarding, it is important that we ensure that parents are as informed as possible about online safety. Next week, is Safer Internet Day and this year it is focussing on the theme of reliability online, opening up conversations with young people about how they explore information, looking at the strategies they can implement to spot and speak out against harmful and misleading content online.

See the parental guidance below and start a conversation with your child about online safety.
