This afternoon in Science Hazel Class started exploring the concept of force and how we can use different forces to change objects. The children enjoyed experimenting with different materials to see which could be changed! 

This afternoon, Hazel Class continued their DT learning all about the different parts of a car, this week we used the K-NEX to create our own vehicles with all of the essential components. I was very impressed with the children's excellent models and knowledge of all of the different parts. 

In Beech Class we have been adding 2 two digit numbers in lots of different ways. Some children created a shop with different priced items for others to visit and total items together. Others created their own calculations by choosing number cards.

Today in PE Hazel Class were applying their gymnastic skills they have been working on this term to using the large apparatus. They explored making different shapes including a tuck, straight, star, straddle and pike and experimented with different ways they could make these on different pieces of equipment. 

Today Hazel Class had a fantastic time creating their cars as part of their DT project! The children worked so hard to make and attach each component and loved decorating their finished cars! 

This morning Hazel Class had a fantastic science lesson! In recent weeks we have  been learning all about different forces and how forces can move or change objects. Today we focussed on the pushing force of wind and how a sail on a boat utilises this force to make a boat move. We experimented with different sized and shaped fans to see which worked best. The children then felt inspired to design, create and test their own boats and sails! 

Today in PE, Beech Class explored applying the balances we have been practising this term on the large apparatus.
