Summer Term 1

April 2026

Hazel Class had an absolutely wonderful day at Kingswood Catering, taking part in a cookery class! The children got to make their own pizzas from scratch and they loved getting to independently complete each step. Staff from Kingswood told us they were very impressed with the children's listening and understanding of each instruction. We hope they enjoyed their yummy pizzas!

Hazel Class enjoyed their first session of aspirations week this morning. We had a lovely visit from a veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse. They taught us all about how they care for poorly animals and even let us stroke their pet Guinea pigs. The children are very excited to meet our other visitors each day this week!

Beech Class thoroughly enjoyed meeting the Roads Traffic Policing Officers and hearing about what their job involves and what skills they need 🚔🚓🚨

Hazel Class loved their session with gymnast Courtney Orange this morning as part of Aspirations week! They felt very inspired by his motivational message and learnt lots about the hard work needed to become a gymnast!

Hazel Class enjoyed their session with a robot engineer this morning! They got to learn all about fixing robots and how they work inside a factory! The children asked some excellent questions and even felt inspired to design their own robots.

Beech class had a fantastic time this morning learning all about how to be a paramedic! We got to try on some of the uniform, listen to our heartbeats and even go inside the ambulance! The sirens were really fun and we found out lots about the skills needed for this career.

Hazel Class enjoyed their last visitor session of Aspirations Week this morning, with an excellent visit from East Midlands Ambulance Service! The children loved having a tour of the ambulance and trying on the uniform and even got to check their heart rate!

Hazel Class had an excellent time at Wellingborough Museum this morning, learning all about the history of Wellingborough for our history topic this term. The children were fascinated looking at the different historical artefacts and learning all about how Wellingborough has changed.

Beech Class thoroughly enjoyed their walk to the museum and looking at the different artefacts and how Wellingborough has changed over time.

Hazel Class have had a lovely afternoon outside. For their class treat they had ice lollies and extra playtime in the sunshine!☀️

Beech Class had the most amazing trip to Kingswood in Corby. We learned how to make our own pizza dough from scratch, made our own tomato sauce, rolled and shaped our pizza dough then chose and added our toppings. We listened so well and were all super proud of the delicious pizzas we got to take home and share. We had a fabulous day!
