Autumn Term 2

November 2023

Oak Class had a special delivery yesterday morning. Inside were some ingredients and a note from the little red hen. She wanted us to make some bread! Together we made the dough which will be baked this afternoon, ready for our snack .๐Ÿž

Oak Class enjoyed recalling the story of the Little Red Hen this week. ๐Ÿ”

Oak Class enjoyed planting daffodil bulbs yesterday. We will care for them and watch them grow over the next few months.๐ŸŒผ

Oak Class had a fabulous art lesson yesterday. We have been mixing paint and used the different colours to create our circles, based on Kandinsky's famous piece of art. We also listened to some relaxing piano music to set a relaxing mood. ๐ŸŽจ

December 2023

Oak Class had a super time at the pantomime today. They walked so sensibly and sat beautifully.

Today reception conducted a science experiment with gingerbread men. We put them in oil, water, milk, squash and fizzy pop and made a prediction as to what we think would happen. Ask your child about the outcome! ๐Ÿ‘ฉ‍๐Ÿ”ฌ๐Ÿง‘‍๐Ÿ”ฌ๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐Ÿ”ฌ๐Ÿงช

Reception enjoyed taking part in the Christmas Celebration at the church.

Oak Class have visited The Avenue Book Shop today. This is a book they have picked out and is theirs to keep as a gift from the school. The children will get to visit our book shop again in the Spring and Summer term. Happy reading!

Oak Class learnt how to join paper together last week using different methods. Today we coloured in our own gingerbread men and cut them out before choosing how to join the arms and legs. Look how fantastic they are!
