Autumn Term 2

November 2023

This morning in reception we had a go at acting out the story of Mr Wiggle and Mr Waggle.

This week in Willow Class we also had a special delivery from a little red hen! We made bread together as a team.

Our bread was delicious.🍞🍞

Willow class have been working hard during their art lesson this week, creating art from natural objects.

Today Willow Class sequenced the events from the story of The Little Red Hen on a story mountain.

Willow Class have loved their busy bug jobs this week!

Willow Class loved planting daffodil bulbs. We can't wait to watch them grow!

Willow Class made a conga line adding 'one more' person each time in maths this week!

Willow Class had a wonderful time painting concentric circles in the style of Kandinsky today.

Willow Class loved tasting their pizzas today for snack. We worked hard to knead the dough, spread the sauce and sprinkle the cheese. Just like the Little Red Hen! πŸ“πŸ•

Willow Class loved listening to the story of the gingerbread man today. Ask your child which characters the gingerbread man met along the lane! πŸ±πŸΆπŸ‘΅

December 2023

Christmas jumper day in Willow Class πŸŽ„

Yesterday reception conducted a science experiment with gingerbread men. We put them in oil, water, milk, squash and fizzy pop and made a prediction as to what we think would happen. Ask your child about the outcome! πŸ‘©‍πŸ”¬πŸ§‘‍πŸ”¬πŸ‘¨‍πŸ”¬πŸ§ͺ

Willow Class were fabulous story tellers today in their English lesson. We retold the story of the gingerbread man but changed the characters inspired by the puppets we used.

Reception enjoyed taking part in the Christmas Celebration at the church.

Willow class loved visiting the Avenue bookshop today! We hope you enjoy reading your new books at home.
