Oak Class enjoyed learning about some different strategies to help us when we are feeling cross, wriggly or just need to feel calm. We tried using different fidget toys, smelt lovely scents, did some deep breathing and then listened to relax kids with blankets and cuddly toys. 

Oak Class have had a busy morning! First, we went outside for our Maths lesson to play hopscotch and practise counting to 10. 

We also had a visit from Nurse Fiona who let us use her equipment. She was kind enough to leave us some resources for our role play area which we have LOVED using this morning. 

Reception have had a BRILLIANT afternoon celebrating the Chinese New Year! We have done lots of the traditional things that people who celebrate Chinese New Year do. We cleaned the classroom, made decorations to hang up, ate some traditional food and took part in a dragon dance! Here is what Willow Class got up to...  🐲🐉

Oak Class have had a brilliant afternoon! We have been learning about Lunar New Year and have taken part in some of the traditional activities that occur at this time of year. First we had to clean and tidy the classroom to clean out any bad luck. Then we had to decorate our room. We read a fortune from a fortune cookie and tried some yummy food including noodles for longevity and lucky fruits. We finished our afternoon trying a Chinese Lion Dance. It was such fun!

What a busy day we've had! Oak Class each sent a letter today, they were very excited to post it in the post box and are super excited for it to be delivered!
